This morning as our friends were transitioning into the classroom, they were invited to use their creative expression to decorate the paper while using the Dotter-markers.\u00a0 We noticed that over the past few days, the children have been working on separate pieces of paper, so we wanted to provide a larger canvas for them to explore.\u00a0 “I made a rainbow” Carolina pointed out as she moved the marker making an arch. “I like rainbow,” replied Maya. Maeve giggled as she continued making dots on the paper, then said “look at mine!” “I need one,” Noah said as he came over to the table to join in.<\/p>\n
After breakfast, we continued the painting exploration with face paint!\u00a0 Mirrors, paint trays, and water were provided as the children busily chose colors and applied it to their faces. This activity held their attention for quite a while as they focused on which part of their face they were going to paint with which color.\u00a0 They were so excited to share with their friends, “I’m a tiger!” stated Otis. “I’m Moana!” replied Carolina. “I want new water” commented Alex.<\/p>\n
After rest time, we are going to be celebrating Evie’s birthday!\u00a0 Her family has provided pumpkin muffins for us to enjoy as she turns two tomorrow! Also, we are postponing the coconut bread, but will be consuming the long awaited passion-mango jam that Carolina brought in from Hawaii!!
