It was another day of staying inside due to the poor air quality outside. The children seemed fine with it, as they were able to engage in new activities. They explored pipe cleaners with scissors and animals. They worked on wrapping the pipe cleaners around the animals’ feet, head, and bodies, as well as cutting the pipe cleaners into smaller pieces.<\/p>\n
There were many small group activities going on throughout the morning. Many friends joined Heather to look for objects in the “I Spy” book. Carolina examined the scratches on the people figures, and there were many opportunities to work with number and counting skills.<\/p>\n
We talked about Evie’s 2nd birthday party. She was excited to tell us about the cookies she had, as well as turning TWO! We also asked Penn what he would like to make for his birthday. He is determined to make volleyball sized chocolate chip cookies. As we were researching different recipes, we suggested making banana chips, banana ice cream, banana pancakes, or lemonade. We did talk about making banana chips; however, it does take 2-3 hours in the oven. Does anyone happen to have a dehydrator for us to borrow on Wednesday?<\/p>\n
We have come to a consensus on making something with bananas for Penn’s birthday. We can use ripened bananas for Penn’s birthday cooking project on Wednesday<\/strong>.<\/p>\n We will be having a pajama party on Friday.
