Xavier connected the two tunnels to create a long tunnel where the children congregated inside the tunnel to hide from the teachers. During morning snack, we had a conversation about what animals live in caves, as well as where animals live. We came to a conclusion that bears and bats live in caves while hippopotamus and giraffes live outside of caves.

The children sat down in front of the SmartBoard, watched videos of animals in caves, and listened as the teachers read about what animals lived in caves around the world. There was a video where we watched a man searching through the caves for a salamander. We heard many comments about how the caves are dark, cold, have rocks on the inside, and the walls are smooth.

Tomorrow we will begin preparing the newspaper for the paper mache and possibly build the frame with wires and boxes.

You can help by bringing in large boxes, newspaper, and wires. You can also join us for project time.

Classroom Enhancement will be on Wednesday and Thursday from 4-6 p.m.

https://mighty-oak-class.c5connections.org/wp-content/uploads/sites/10/2017/11/IMG_20171113_090755-768x576.jpg

The children were feeling extra silly this morning as they ran down to the sandbox and pretended to fall.
